INDIVIDUALS

Individual sessions are designed to meet you where you are on your journey. Whether you’re seeking emotional healing, working with the inner critic, resilience, or deeper connection to your religious or spiritual practice, this approach blends wisdom and practical tools to guide you toward lasting wellbeing.

COUPLES

These sessions are for couples who wish to deepen or repair intimacy and partnership. Through compassionate communication techniques, she teaches couples how to communicate not just the surface-level concerns, but also the deeper emotional needs behind mundane speech and actions. By guiding couples to listen with empathy and address the internal wounds that often drive conflict, understanding is cultivated. Partners become more able to support one another in navigating difficult conversations, learning how to both express their needs effectively and respond with care.

Integration after Journeys and Retreats

Integration, in the context of medicine journey or retreat experiences, refers to the process of bringing insights from altered states of consciousness into one’s daily reality. Integration is the act of consciously incorporating peak experiences into daily life.

The importance of integration into daily life after a journey, retreat, or meditation lies in the ability to sustain and embody the insights gained. Without conscious integration, these insights may remain as fleeting moments, disconnected from one’s habitual patterns and external circumstances. Integration helps turn transformative moments into lasting change, making the insights practical, actionable, and embedded into one’s way of living.

“Heather truly is an incredible presence…I have experienced Heather's teachings in various types of programs and environments - through the six-series MAPS course, on a weekend retreat in Joshua Tree, and I also regularly take her mindfulness and 2-hour sit classes at The Den Meditation on weekdays.

But what makes Heather such an impactful teacher is that she is open and candid about her own experience discovering mindfulness and how it has impacted her own challenges in life. She presents mindfulness in such a way that is approachable and applicable to "real life." She uses a bit of humor in her classes that make the workshops FUN, while balancing it with the right amount if information-sharing and silent practice.

After taking MAPS with Heather, I often joke that anyone who is a human being and has to go through life should be required to take the MAPS course with her. Honestly, it just helps you DO LIFE better. :) I highly recommend working with Heather in any capacity. “
